Single Visit
Crowns, inlays and onlays, can be created in a single visit. You can come in with a damaged tooth and leave with a fully restored one on the same day,
Having a missing tooth can feel like the end of the world, but there’s no need to worry about having gaps in your smile.
At Broadway Dental Boutique, we have an in-house CEREC machine. That means we can take scans of your mouth at the practice, create your restoration, such a crown, or an inlay and onlay, and have it fitted all in one day. There’s no need to wait for the lab.
The CEREC uses 3D scans of your mouth, taken at our practice, to create a completely custom-made restoration. Whether you need to have individual crowns or a bridge, we can create the new teeth in our practice on the same day you walk in. We can fit the new teeth and make any adjustments quickly.
As everything is managed in-house, treatment time is much faster so there is no need to have a temporary crown or bridge between appointments. We give you the finished article on the same day that we take the scans.
Your scans are kept on file too so if you ever need a replacement, there is no hassle in creating a new tooth.
First, you'll book in for a new patient exam and your dentist will assess all teeth and gums. If a crown is recommended, we will discuss the option of a CEREC crown.
During the CEREC crown appointment, we clean and prepare the tooth and a 3D digital scan of the tooth is taken.
Next, your dentist designs and 3D prints your new tooth. Then, we cement the crown in place, all in one day.

What is CEREC?
CEREC stands for Chairside Economical Restoration of Esthetic Ceramics. It’s a dental technology that allows for the creation of dental restorations like crowns, inlays and onlays, in a single dental appointment.
How does CEREC work?
CEREC uses CAD/CAM technology to create digital impressions of your teeth. These digital impressions are used to design and mill custom dental restorations on-site, eliminating the need for traditional impressions and off-site lab work.
How long does it take to get a CEREC restoration?
CEREC restorations are typically completed in a single dental appointment, which can last a few hours, depending on the complexity of the restoration.
Are CEREC restorations as durable as traditional ones?
Yes, CEREC restorations are made from strong and durable materials, and when properly cared for, they last for years.
Do CEREC restorations look natural?
Yes, CEREC restorations can be customised to match the colour and shape of your natural teeth.
Is the CEREC process uncomfortable?
No, the CEREC process is generally comfortable for patients. Digital impressions are taken quickly and without the need for messy materials, and the restorations are designed to fit comfortably.
